This network supports up to 96 local users and additional users from remote locations. The network provides a Wide Area Network that links several buildings and offices of the MCSO back to the central network. Users from remote sites can access all applications on the network. Fiber-Optic connectivity links the Administrative Building to the central network location. Broadband Internet access is integrated into the network. Multiple servers provide constant access to applications and services used through out the Administration and jail buildings as well as a full backup system to protect all server data. A specialized satellite time system keeps the network fully synchronized to the correct time. Many other additional services and functions are provided by this high end business network.
